Update (11/30/25): The “Fire Red” Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 will be released on February 7, 2026. The launch will be in full family sizes and will be available just before the Super Bowl.

Nike Sportswear and Deon Sanders will expand on the retro releases of his signature line. In Spring 2026, we will see the Diamond Turf 2 return. One of the upcoming pairs to be released is the “Fire Red” Nike Air Diamond Turf 2. This pair was originally released in 1994; the last time we saw a release was in 2012.

Although people commonly confuse the “Atlanta Falcons” Diamond Turf with the “49ers” pair, this is the model that Deion Sanders wore while playing for the San Francisco 49ers.

This Nike Air Diamond Turf 2 is dressed in a Fire Red, White, Black, and Metallic Gold color combination. As you can see, the shoes feature Red nubuck on the upper, including the signature mid-foot strap. In addition, Metallic Gold appears on the mesh panels. The Swoosh is dipped in White, while the same shade appears on part of the midsole. The 2026 pair is expected to resemble the original release. Instead of “Nike Diamond Turf” on the tongues, it will feature Prime Time’s number 21. Other details include Black detailing and the field goal post logo on the heels.
