Nike recently relaunched their ACG line, folding their Trail team into the outdoor division, and recommitting to performance-first design. Today, the ACG team has unveiled their latest footwear, the Pegasus Trail, coming in April.

Nike’s recent relaunch of ACG (All Conditions Gear) marks a renewed commitment to performance-driven outdoor apparel and footwear after years of drifting toward lifestyle positioning. Originally introduced in 1989, ACG was reintroduced in 2026 as a standalone outdoor-performance brand focused on trail running, hiking, and exploration. The relaunch was highlighted by Team USA athletes wearing ACG gear at the Winter Olympics, launching technical products like the Ultrafly trail shoe alongside weather-ready apparel systems.

Today, the ACG team has unveiled their next performance running shoe for the outdoors, the Pegasus Trail. The long-running Pegasus line is now on its 42nd model, and had a number of Trail versions under the previous Nike Trail branding. Now under direction from ACG, their relaunch of the silhouette brings a number of changes from the standard road edition. Starting from the ground up, the outsole features a chunky lug pattern in the new All Terrain Compound 2.0 for improved traction, and a bed of ReactX foam cushioning with molding around the heels to resemble topographic maps. The upper features engineered mesh for breathability and durability, with a seamless, taped overlay design to reduce weight.

NIKE ACG PEGASUS TRAIL RELEASE INFORMATION

Nike ACG’s next addition to their relaunched footwear line is set to release in April 2026, though the Swoosh has not announced a set date quite yet. Announced alongside their new mainline Pegasus model, the Trail version features enhanced traction and a more durable upper. Pairs will be available through both Nike and select running retailers, and pricing is expected to be above $180.
