The NIGO x Nike Air Force 3 Low “Kintsugi Pack” is set to release during the Holiday Season of 2025. The pack consists of two sneakers, both having a similar theme. Kintsugi is a traditional Japanese art form that involves repairing broken pottery with lacquer mixed with powdered gold, silver, or platinum.
Using the iconic Nike Air Force 3 Low, the two mismatched colorways create intentional asymmetry. What I like about the pair is the unique placement of the Kintsugi-inspired detailing. On the left shoe, it covers the toe, while it covers part of the panels and heels of the right shoe. The White areas have textured detailing, adding to the look. The “Bamboo” iteration features “NIGO” on the right heel, and the “Phantom” iteration reads “OGIN” (NIGO backward).

I appreciate that NIGO is trying to do something deeper than just slapping his name and some camo patterns on a Nike shoe. The choice of the Air Force 3 Low is smart because almost nobody has touched that model, giving NIGO actual creative freedom. Yes, this isn’t the first Air Force 3 he has worked on, but probably the most unique iteration. The mismatched colorway approach interests me, and the Kintsugi detailing is solid.
