Nike has pulled out all the stops for the the NBA All-Star Weekend this week, hosting a huge range of events and releases across the Bay Area. Today, a new Basketball shoe appeared, heavily inspired by the classic Foamposite.

Over the past few days, Nike has descended on the San Francisco Bay Area to host a series of big events and sneaker releases for All-Star Weekend. From a Jordan Brand drone show to a special early release of the new Union Jordan 1, a lot has been going down. Today, likely to coincide with the release of the Galaxy Foamposite in the Bay, a new performance basketball shoe has been unveiled on the feet of Wale.

The upcoming performance basketball shoe seen here is still largely a mystery to us. Aside from Wale sporting the model at a high school basketball event this morning, Frank Cooker also gave us an early look at the new design. The shoe has clear inspiration from the Foamposite line, while also borrowing the distinct collar shape of the Zoom Hyperflight from 2001. The shoe’s molded upper appears to encapsulate the entire midsole cushioning unit, giving the model the look of a single piece of molded rubber or plastic.

NIKE BASKETBALL FOAMPOSITE 2025 RELEASE INFORMATION

The mysterious new shoe from Nike Basketball with heavy Foamposite inspiration has not been announced yet; we don’t even know its name yet. However, the model has been confirmed to be a performance ball shoe, and will likely release sometime later this year.
