New Balance has unveiled its 2023 TCS New York City Marathon collection, which includes a range of apparel and footwear offerings, including limited-edition examples of the FuelCell Super Comp Elite v3 and FreshFoam X 1080v13.The sportswear brand shared that the collection was inspired by "the city full of crossroads and intersections with people from different cultures and backgrounds," as well as the brand's crossroad approach to sport and culture.This latest NYC Marathon collection features "Impact Luminous" styles, designed to outfit competitors in the most eye-catching apparel for their race day. They feature next-to-skin technology with Woven Reflective fabric designed to catch light, a stealthy and stylish take on marathon apparel. The collection shares the same materials as the core New Balance Impact product, providing a similar overall design aesthetic, tech and function. Additionally, the reflective woven material is created using dyeing methods that reduce water consumption by 80% per yard compared to traditional dyeing methods.Tom Carleo, New Balance Vice President of Performance Running, said, "We are excited to include our Luminous assortment in the apparel collection and custom colorways of our most advanced super shoe, the FuelCell Super Comp Elite v3 and the debut of the Fresh Foam 1080v13."The Luminous assortment includes a new Impact Run Packable Vest, Impact Run Shorts, and Impact Run Heat Jacket made with lightweight warmth wind-resistant Wind Defy technology, all featuring the iconic, reflective TCS New York City Marathon badge.
