In 2021, Michael Jordan’s original Nike Air Ship sneaker set a record by selling for an astounding $1.47 million. Now, this iconic sneaker is back on the auction scene.

Up for sale is a signed pair of the Nike Air Ship worn by Jordan in his rookie year’s fifth game. On November 1, 1984, during a Chicago Bulls match against the Denver Nuggets, Jordan sported these shoes, scoring 17 points in 33 minutes. He generously gifted the sneakers to former Nuggets ballboy T.J. Lewis after the game.

This vintage Nike Air Ship flaunts a Bulls-themed design, mostly white with pops of red on the ankle collar and Swoosh logos. Notably, it’s an early variant from the 1984 release, featuring “Nike” and “Air” branding on the tongue and heel. Later versions showcased “Nike Air” branding in both spots. The winning bidder will also receive Lewis’ staff pass from the 1984-85 NBA season.

Bidding for this rare Nike Air Ship commenced on goldin.co this month, beginning at $100,000. The auction concludes on September 13th at 10 PM ET, and at present, the highest bid is $160,000.

Don’t miss your chance to own a piece of sports history with this extraordinary Nike Air Ship. Join the bidding before September 13th to secure your place in sneaker lore.
