The World Cup isn’t over yet, but Nike’s involvement pretty much is. The Final will feature two adidas-sponsored clubs in Spain and Argentina, and all of the Swoosh’s biggest names – Cristiano Ronaldo, Kylian Mbappé, and Erling Haaland – are home watching from the couch. There’s still some unfinished business to attend to on the footwear front, though. The Air Jordan 1 Mid is helping close out the tournament with a new style featuring cleat-inspired touches, coming soon to the Nike website for $140.
Part of a pack alongside a recently-released Spiz’ike Low, the AJ1 Mid sports a Phantom leather foundation with quilted suede around the collar, a throughline back to the vintage Nike Football boots of yesteryear. University Red Nike Football logos on the tongue make the theme unmistakable, bolstered by comic-style soccer graphics on the insoles. The Wings logos are done in blue outlining, while a Gum Dark Brown outsole caps things off underfoot.
The Air Jordan 1 Mid “Football” releases soon via Nike for $140 in men’s sizes. See official images below and hit our Jordan releases page for more.
