JoeFreshGoods has teased his next work with New Balance this week, sharing an early look at a cream white colorway of the 650 as a part of his Crosstown Series lookbook.

Joe Robinson has made quite a name for himself int he sneaker world over the past few years, teaming up with a number of brands for limited-edition collaborations. Chief among them has been the projects with New Balance, from their initial All-Star Weekend releases in 2020 to Joe leading the ‘Conversations Amongst Us‘ project last year. Now, the Chicago designer has teased his next work with the legendary Boston brand, this time taking on the retro 650 for a new release. Shown as a part of a recent lookbook, the JFG take gives the silhouette a tonal makeover in off-white, as well as swapping out some materials for a premium new look. Though images are sparse, details also include swapping the 650 branding at the forefoot in favor of a simple JFG mark.

JOEFRESHGOODS X NEW BALANCE 650 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release from Chicago’s JoeFreshGoods and New Balance has not been officially unveiled yet, though we hope to see the project release later this year. Featuring a clean off-white colorway of the 650 basketball shoes, pairs will likely release via the designer’s website followed by a wider NB release. UPDATE 9/5/23: JoeFreshGoods has announced that his ‘Stuntman’ take on the New Balance 650 will release on September 9th, 2023. Inspired by a 1984 photoshoot of Michael Jordan, in which he is wearing NB sneakers, the pair imagines a world where the GOAT signed with New Balance instead of Nike. The shoes are limited to just 500 pairs, with each being numbered by hand on the inner tongues. We expect this release to happen on the JFG website, so stay tuned to JustFreshKicks for further updates.
