That’s applied to every step in his celebrated run with New Balance, including a pop-up space in New York City to end 2025 surrounding his “Bag Lady” and “Hand-Me-Downs” 2010 colorways. So why would it change as he eyes a permanent location in Chicago?

To wit, the Every Now and Then New Balance 992 has been in the ether for nearly a year, first revealed in an office-set teaser that eventually led to the release of a trademark green Fresh Foam X Recovery Mule. With the ribbon about to be cut on the titular retail venture, said collaboration will be in attendance for the grand opening.

The Windy City native has now officially announced that the green-on-cream colorway will be fully exclusive to this weekend’s festivities. Ever community-focused, you’ll only get your chance to grab a pair if you bring school supplies with you to donate, as the opening of the storefront aligns with the start of Joe’s “Community Goods” back-to-school drive.

As the opening nears, Robinson also took the opportunity to walk down memory lane with the shoe’s campaign images, celebrating some of the Chicago luminaries and partners who helped pave the way for his “Aged Well” journey through partnerships with multiple brands and building his own, including Corey Gilkey of Leaders 1354 and Vic Lloyd, formerly of Fat Tiger Workshop.

Again, only those who can make it to 1843 W. Chicago Ave on July 11th will get the chance to grab the Every Now and Then New Balance 992. The drop will be first come, first served, with doors opening at 10 AM. The store will begin full operations the week following.
