Fear of God and adidas are gearing up to introduce their next-generation on-court sneakers. Over the weekend, Jerry Lorenzo attended a Chicago Bulls game, sitting courtside and rocking the new FoG Athletics Basketball III, coming soon.

Jerry Lorenzo’s relationship with adidas got off to a rocky start, with several years in between the announcement of Fear of God Athletics and their first physical release. Four years in, and they have landed on a steady pace of releases, debuting new product seasons each Winter. These debuts have come in 2023 and 2024, with the introduction of the Basketball I & II models, as well as trainers, runners, and full apparel collections. That release schedule seems to be their staying course for the future, as Lorenzo recently appeared at a Chicago Bulls game wearing the upcoming Basketball III.

As of now, very little is known about the next generation of Fear of God’s performance basketball model. The silhouette is very similar in shape to its’ predecessor, with the same narrow toe box, swooping lines, and simple midsole. Lorenzo appears to be wearing a low- or mid-cut model, with a similar construction to the II’s low-top version. Jerry is wearing a cream white pair in the photos below, but a second pair was shared over the weekend, donning a dark grey color scheme. The shoe appears to be constructed from an adidas Primeknit textile, adding suede overlays around the toes and heels for extra support.

FEAR OF GOD X ADIDAS BASKETBALL III RELEASE INFORMATION

There has been no official announcement regarding the launch of Fear of God & adidas’ new Basketball III silhouette, though we will likely see a release sometime in the next few months. Both the original model and the II were launched right around Christmas in 2023 & 2024, so the latest iteration could arrive within the next few weeks at best. Pairs will be available from both partners, and the shoe is likely to retain a price tag in the $200 range.
