adidas is mounting a youth offensive. Elevating the ever-irreverent Anthony Edwards to be the face of their basketball division already speaks volumes in that regard, but the Originals label has followed suit particularly when it comes to their collaborations, aligning with Young Thug’s SP5DER and fostering a growing partnership with Hellstar on the adidas Superstar.

After earning real moments with their stealthy edition in Vegas and the subsequent Desert Camo overhaul of the shell toe (and Edwards’ AE2) at All-Star Weekend, it’s taking no time whatsoever for adidas and Hellstar to circle the block. Draped in “Hazy Orange,” this latest step in the Hellstar x adidas Superstar story leans on much of the same hallmarks we’ve previously seen: extended leather flames on the side, smoky, graffiti-inspired detailing across the uppers and midsole, and the brand’s emblems stamped on the heel. Though that aforementioned militaristic pair certainly makes for a decent debate, this pair has a serious claim to being the loudest of the relationship so far, a real statement given how unmissable the shoe is to begin with.
