HAL STUDIOS® Officially Debuts Its ASICS GEL-1130 MK III "Glacier" Collaboration
UPDATE: HAL STUDIOS®' third and final ASICS collaboration is finally here. The duo's minimalistic releases keep wearable designs at the forefront, constantly primed in muted Earth tones. After teasing initial images earlier this month, HAL STUDIOS® has revealed official details on its ASICS GEL-1130 MK III "Glacier" collaboration. Taking inspiration from our natural surroundings, ASICS and HAL STUDIOS® take the athletic silhouette to Iceland's rocky mountains and black sand beaches. HAL STUDIOS® Creative Director John Bouquet dresses the ASICS GEL-1130 MK III in a breathable white mesh base, complemented by tonal leather that swoops into the lacing systems. Beige suede ASICS logos hit the medials, while black leather contrasts the interior-facing profiles. Plastic plaques sport HAL STUDIOS® branding at the rears, completing the collaboration with red-tinted rope laces and two-toned TRUSSTIC sole units. The HAL STUDIOS® x ASICS GEL-1130 MK III "Glacier" will release on August 16 via the HAL STUDIOS® website, followed by an ASICS release in the coming weeks. Its partnership with HAL STUDIOS® has seen a duo of minimal-yet-striking GEL-1130s in the last two years, and now both parties will be completing their trilogy pack with its freshly-announced ASICS GEL-1130 MK III "Glacier" colorway.The first round of campaign images of the kicks has surfaced on our radar, all of which reveal a sizable amount of details. In alignment with its nickname, the collaborative sneakers make use of its titular shade and splash onto its mesh build, toe tip overlays and tiger stripes, the latter of which are done up with cracked leather. Smaller notes of black peek out through the forefoot and near the throat while the hiker-style laces appear in a bold red hue.
