adidas Readies the NMD S1 for Summertime

In its ninth year on the market, the adidas NMD series is still going strong. Recently, the Three Stripes tapped Japanese streetwear label NEIGHBORHOOD for a collaboration on the NMD S1 and a unique boot version of the silhouette while also ushering in another iteration of the shoe -- the NMD W1. While the design may not hold the same power it once did, there's no denying it plays a key role in adidas Originals' lifestyle offerings each year.Now, as the NMD S1 continues to shine, adidas has prepared a new summertime-ready colorway. Kicking things off, the shoe starts with a knit upper containing yearn with at least 50% Parley Ocean Plastic and 50% recycled polyester. This knit primarily carries the colorway's leading "Cream White" hue -- a soft off-white that is joined by hits of red around the collar and at the Three Stripes. The midfoot looks to reveal the shoe's interior with the aforementioned "Cream White" and a crisp green joining red at the Three Stripes on each side.
