New York City is buzzing with excitement ahead of the Knicks’ championship ring ceremony and banner raising at Madison Square Garden, and Foot Locker got the festivities started early with their special “Rings-N-Things” pop-up for the biggest Knicks and sneaker fans in the Big Apple.
Following the morning announcement of a surprise Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro “Jalen Brunson” PE release, a line quickly formed outside the event space at 125 West 33rd Street as Knicks faithful and Brunson fans gathered for a chance to secure the coveted sneakers.
Ahead of the doors opening, Nike brought back the snakeskin-wrapped Kobe Brinks truck which first debuted alongside Brunson during NBA All-Star Weekend earlier this year.
Meanwhile, Foot Locker transformed their dedicated space into a tribute to New York City’s famed jewelry district, drawing inspiration from its storefronts to create a fitting setting for the championship festivities.
Beyond releasing a limited number of Brunson’s Kobe 3 Low Protro PEs, Foot Locker also offered exclusive Knicks merchandise and jewelry pieces from GLD, bringing together basketball, sneakers, and the city’s unmistakable love for championship hardware.
The activation served as a fitting kickoff to a historic night for New York basketball and with Foot Locker serving as the official footwear retailer of the New York Knicks, expect more as the season rolls on.
