Plenty of long-awaited pairs of the Air Jordan 4 are coming off the board in 2026. The first ever retros for the “Toro Bravo” and “Tour Yellow” are headliners in that regard, but Jordan Brand has found time to explore new takes on the beloved model as well. Joining the ranks of the “Comic,” “Lakers,” or “Pink Thunder” is the Air Jordan 4 “Light Army,” looming for release at the end of the year.

Jordan enthusiasts of a certain age have come to expect any Retro colorway to be rooted in the life and times of Michael Jordan. Yet as that comic-inspired pair exemplifies, the Jumpman has increasingly grown willing to mint clean new colorways without any narrative justification. The “Light Army” arrangement at hand appears to fill that void as well, coated rather comprehensively in adjacent military tones. It dims that shading for the outsole, tongue tag, and the stripe in the midsole. Light grey netting, eyelets, and collars bring some brightness into the mix yet still keep to that autumnal script.

Perhaps more notable than the actual colorway is its release particulars, reported as an EU exclusive. ‘Heads have no doubt gotten used to exclusives in major US markets or in Asia (think “Tokyo 23” or the Jordan 12 “Sumo”), but the European continent is a growing priority for that treatment.
