Jordan Brand is delivering a major cash cow by releasing its most hyped retro model in one of its most well-known original colorways. The Air Jordan 4 “Bred” is indeed on the docket for later this year, and all indications are that the Jumpman plans on making a massive amount of pairs to stuff shelves and, hopefully in its eyes, the balance sheet with a fat number. With a release now set for Thanksgiving weekend on November 28th, 2026, first-look images give us an idea, or rather confirm, what to expect.

The gallery below shows a black nubuck sneaker with classic “Bred” color blocking, complete with Nike Air on the backtab and Nike branding on the outsole in proper OG fashion. No surprises. The “Bred” Jordan 4 is a sneaker most seasoned collectors already have in stock, maybe even a few times over. Several retro drops have occurred over the years, the first arriving in 1999 for the silhouette’s tenth anniversary. Jumpman-heel versions followed in 2008 as part of the Countdown Pack and again in 2012 for the model’s 23rd anniversary. A 2019 release marked the return of Nike Air branding, while a “Reimagined” leather interpretation dropped in February 2024. That’s all to say this is a shoe everyone, for multiple reasons, should already be plenty familiar with.

Is the 2026 retro too soon? We’ll have an answer once the release plays out later this year. But based on the general consensus from what we see out in the wild and through our own research, this is a style that resonates with multiple generations, young and old, including plenty whose feet have grown since the last true retro landed seven years ago.

The Air Jordan 4 “Bred” 2026 releases Saturday, November 28th via Nike SNKRS and a wide range of retailers. Full family sizes are expected, priced at $230 for adults. We’ll circle back with an update as soon as official images become available.
