Friend to the likes of New Balance, ASICS, and several more of the footwear industry’s most notable, JJJJound is nothing short of a collaborative powerhouse. And for Spring/Summer ’23, the former moodboard is adding none other than Salomon to its massive extended family.

Rather than grab at low-hanging fruit — namely, the XT-6 — JJJJound has elected the more affordable XT-Wings 2 as its model of choice. As is characteristic of the Montreal-based design studio, “JJJJound” is written boldly atop the shoe, replacing the “XT-WINGS 2” text that would normally sit on the medial side. This branding — much like the “Salomon” type on the opposite face — is applied atop the blue decals of the pair’s overlays, which match the detailing through much of the midsole and outsole. The rest of the construction indulges entirely in neutrals, alternating between a bright white and cream.
