Back in February, we learned that Jordan Brand will continue the satin Air Jordan 1 series with a new “Shadow” edition. Well, official retailer images just landed along with news of an October 24th release date, teeing off anticipation for advocates of the design theme.

Much like the AJ1 Satin Bred from last year, the shoe features almost the exact same color blocking as the original “Shadow” colorway from 1985, only with grey instead of black soles. The toe box, Swoosh, ankle flaps, and heel present in grey, while the rest of the upper appears in black. Such overhauled takes on original Air Jordan 1 colorways tend to irk sneaker purists, but satin pairs most definitely have an audience, even though low resale prices might suggest otherwise.
