It’s Drake season once more, perhaps in fuller force than ever before as the Toronto MC sits in the afterglow of three full-length albums. Even outside of music, the man with “a mic to use, wearing Nike shoes” has been extremely visible on that front as well, both assisting in the rollout effort for the Nike KD 19, and in relation to the World Cup, as we’ve known for some time that his NOCTA sub-label would get involved in the Cryoshot program at some point.

A star-laden polaroid mosaic confirmed that, not by depicting the man himself, but by coyly including a scorpion, there shoulder to shoulder with names like Kim Kardashian and Slawn. As the marketing efforts for Nike’s full-fledged embrace of global soccer hit a fever pitch, Drake and NOCTA are confirming their piece of the puzzle. A rangey apparel collection putting Canada pride on the frontline, from kits to jackets to flags, appears in initial campaign images.

Yet of course, our gaze is squarely on the footwear. Replete with the translucent caged outsole consistent with the rest of the Cryoshot offerings, NOCTA takes on the Tiempo franchise as its jumping off point. Oversized NOCTA branding on the heel, an extended tongue with sword emblems, and a sleek yellow/black colorway define their contribution to the series.

A hard release date for the NOCTA x Nike Cryoshot Tiempo hasn’t yet been announced, but some particulars have already hit the ‘net. An early launch via NOCTA and the channels of the Canadian Men’s Team will predate a wider launch via retailers and SNKRS. Feast your eyes on the complete campaign images below.
