Phoenix Mercury legend DeWanna Bonner recently became just the third woman in WNBA history to reach 8,000 career points, joining an upper echelon that includes only Diana Taurasi and Tina Charles. The often-underrated star deserves every bit of recognition coming her way, which the Mercury delivered with a bouquet during a recent ceremony on their home floor. On the footwear front, Phoenix’s own Devin Booker had her covered.
Bonner stepped out in a never-before-seen Nike Book 2 PE for the occasion, the sneaker playing off the model’s Spiridon formula with an orange mesh upper and silver hits on the Swoosh and ribbons. The mudguard and midsole come in navy blue for a Detroit Tigers-esque colorway, though it pairs well enough with Bonner’s Phoenix Mercury jersey all the same.
