Daniëlle Cathari and New Balance Mix Up A Matcha-Inspired 991v2 Collaboration

Amsterdam-based designer Daniëlle Cathari's eponymous brand is no stranger to co-created footwear efforts, as it's cooked up drops with both Clarks and adidas in recent years. Now, it's set to add a new feather to its cap with the release of its first New Balance collaboration: a matcha-inspired 991v2.Cathari is the third collaborative partner to take on the hybrid design — which combines design elements of the 991 and 992 — after Patta and Stone Island. As shown in a tech pack posted on the brand's Instagram, it boasts a rich moss green and earthy brown color scheme across its suede and mesh upper. Custom Cathari tongue tags supply unique embellishment, while further details include grey accents, a two-tone midsole that mixes cream and white and a cushioning setup that swaps the standard ABZORB used in the 99X line for a modern-day FuelCell setup that runs the entire length of the foot. The recently-named creative director of KITH Women also shared that the release is going down on February 9. At the time of writing, an MSRP has yet to be revealed. However, if the Daniëlle Cathari x New Balance 991V2 stays true to the pricing established by its predecessors, it should retail for $250 USD.Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
