The movie event of the Summer, the clash between Barbie and Oppenheimer, starts today, and Nike has seemingly picked a side with this new ‘Barbie’ Dunk Low, coming soon.
The hype for the new Barbie movie is at an all-time high, with the movie’s marketing team going all out for this release. Surprisingly, Nike is joining in on the fun, with a new, probably not official, ‘Barbie’ Dunk Low. Taking some cues from the toy line’s instantly recognizable branding, the new pair features a pink suede base layer, adding hot pink leather overlays on top. The Swooshes and heel tabs are added in a shimmering green and pink material, while a speckled pink midsole completes the palette. Extra details include Barbie-inspired branding on the tongues, and a massive bejeweled Nike ‘N’ logo that ties into the shoe’s laces.
NIKE DUNK LOW ‘BARBIE’ RELEASE INFORMATION
Nike’s upcoming hot pink colorway of the Dunk Low has not been officially announced for release, though we expect to see them launch sometime later this year. Featuring some seemingly-‘Barbie’-inspired details, pairs will likely be available through both Nike and select retailers for $125.
