Brain Dead has partnered with adidas for a special timely release for the World Cup, mashing up the style of Predator boots with formal dress sneakers, and adding just a dash of Disney charm.
Brain Dead is one of the best brands on the market that leans into their love of pop culture. Founded by Kyle Ng and Ed Davis in Los Angeles, the brand bills itself as a ‘creative collective’ rather than a clothing label, and the title is well-deserved. Brain Dead’s creative output touches nearly every category of art and design, even running their own movie theater in LA, and screening films for their collaborations involving specific titles. Over the years Brain Dead has formed a strong collaborative relationship with adidas, bringing us to their latest release; the Predator.
adidas’ Predator boots are the pinnacle of their football footwear offerings. Introduced in 1994, the Predator line used jagged, teeth-like stripes to back up the model’s name, giving them an aggressive and intimidating style. Brain Dead’s take on the classic boot lands next week, and merges retro football style with soles from formal dress sneakers. The upper has been reworked to include molded scales across the toe boxes, one of which adds a teeny tiny red adidas logo, the shoe’s only flash of color. This project is also in collaboration with Disney, and includes a set of pins featuring some of their iconic characters playing soccer.
BRAIN DEAD X ADIDAS PREDATOR RELEASE INFORMATION
The latest release from Brain Dead and adidas is scheduled to release early next week, on June 29th, 2026. Pairs will be available through the adidas website starting at 7AM PST. The new release combines retro football style from the Predator with a chunkier sole from formal dress sneakers, similar to Clot’s Superstar releases. The black and cream colorway comes with an assortment of Disney character pins and removable lace shrouds. Pricing is set at $200.
