Blackstock & Weber and Palmes Craft Tennis Ball-Inspired Loafers

Chris Echevarria's Blackstock & Weber has swiftly become one of the most widely-discussed new-age footwear brands due to its modernization of the loafer. Whether it be its mainline catalog, which features a wide array of styles or its lineup of collaborations with the likes of JJJJound, Needles and Bloomingdale's, B&W packs a robust record. Now, the brand is adding to its roster with a new by partnering with the tennis culture menswear brand, Palmes.Marking their debut collaboration, the offering aptly channels the Copenhagen-based label personality because the loafers are inspired by tennis balls. As such, the upper takes form in a vintage fresh white felt, which is sourced from a family-owned tennis ball factory in southern England. Complimenting the light hue is a natural-toned Goodyear welt, a camel-colored double leather sole and gold-embossed collaborative branding on the insole."I believe Nik is one of the next up out of Copenhagen," said Blackstock & Weber's founder/creative director, Chris Echevarria. "After discovering the mutual appreciation for each other's brand and working together to weave our narratives and beliefs into a compelling story, we knew we had a hit."Completing the collaboration is a co-branded shoe box that includes a small bag of tennis court clay dust to rub on the loafer for an optional work look. Retailing for $375 USD, the Blackstock & Weber x Palmes collaboration releases on Thursday, May 11 on the B&W and Palmes websites.
