On most occasions over the past few years, CLOT appearing on our front page has meant some sort of adidas collaboration. In that category, Edison Chen and his label have been massively prolific, seemingly dropping a fresh capsule or reinterpretation on a monthly basis. However, the international brand is still hammering away at non-adidas releases despite their work there typically being the focus.

The latest to come to light continues a Hong Kong / Japan partnership, as CLOT looks again to BAPE. Yet, subverting expectations, this doesn’t see CLOT take their hallmarks to one of A Bathing Ape’s various footwear models; it’s the opposite. The Parabola, first introduced in May 2024 as a fully independent silhouette, is the base here. Its signature details, like the exposed stitch under the collar; padded collars and heel tabs; a sole unit that combines into the CLOT logo across the two shoes; and a notched midsole, all return true to form. The latter allows BAPE to sneak red ABC camo into this design, while additional hallmarks like the APE head and star logo define the uppers.
