Balenciaga Opens Order to Motocross Boot From Fall 2023 Runway
When Balenciaga returned to Paris to showcase its Fall 2023 collection, it did so in a motocross-inspired style. Against Demna’s toned-down, largely monochromatic looks, one particular aspect stood out: oversized biker boots.The label has now rolled out its Men’s Biker Boot to the masses. Available for pre-order on its website, the made-in-Italy boot comes in both calfskin and TPU, the flexible plastic material thermoplastic polyurethane.As demonstrated on the runway, the boot is taller than most, reaching beyond mid-calf to end just a few inches below the knee. The front features a panel of horizontally stitched quilt cutout, surrounded by layers of leather paneling. Notably, the toe ends in a distinct point.Thankfully, the boot has a hidden zip enclosure, making it easier than it seems to slip them on. The Balenciaga logo appears on the exterior and in a debossed version on the front of the shoe. Both the calfskin and TPU editions are brushed with a worn-out effect, which is most noticeable on the cream colorway.
