Asics’ retro GEL-Kayano 14 continues to be a staple for the brand as we move deeper into 2024. This week, a new “Pre-Worn” edition of the iconic runner has surfaced, with a metallic gold rust-like effect.

Back in 2021, Asics revived their GEL-Kayano 14, a running shoe that originally debuted back in 2008. Now on their thirtieth iteration of the Kayano family, the model has stuck around for the past few years, racking up special collaborations from the likes of JJJJound and Awake NY. This week, an interesting new pair has surfaced, expected to arrive for Summer 2024. The “Pre-Worn” look gives the shoe a distressed makeover that appears like rust overtaking aging metal. The pair features a leather base in a light blue shade, adding a metallic gold sheen to the worn-away areas to achieve the look.
