Anthony Edwards made a splash during NBA All-Star Weekend through his adidas AE2 sneakers. Alongside the release of the Hellstar styles, Edwards was rocking a wild new “Neon Rainbow” pair, releasing publicly next week.

adidas had quite a weekend during the NBA’s All-Star festivities in Los Angeles earlier this month. Brands descended on the city en masse, popping up with activations and tons of special releases for three days straight. adidas’ main project for the celebration was in collaboration with Hellstar, a local brand, who delivered iterations of their Superstar, as well as the first-ever collaborations for Anthony Edwards’ AE2 sneaker, in not one but two colorways. In addition to the surprise unveiling of the second black colorway, Anthony Edwards also took the change to showcase a new in-line color scheme of his signature basketball shoe, dressed in a rainbow of neon tones for the biggest weekend of the NBA season. The look added tons of color to the AE2 through its rubber and plastic cage system, leaving all the textile pieces dripped in black. Shades of green, pink, yellow, blue, and orange are mixed up throughout the shoe, with just a hint of 3M added at the toes.

ADIDAS AE2 “NEON RINBOW” RELEASE INFORMATION

After a quick debut during the NBA All-Star weekend earlier this month, adidas’ colorful new take on the Anthony Edwards AE2 is now expected to release globally on March 7th, 2026. The shoe’s textile pieces come entirely in black, while the rubber and plastic portions are set in an array of neon shades including green, blue, orange, and pink. Pairs will be available from both adidas and select retailers for $130.
