The Air Jordan 9 “Olive” will be released again during the Holiday 2024 season. It is an original colorway that was first launched in 1993 and has been released two more times, with the fourth arriving in 2024. The release date is October 25, 2024, and the retail price is $210.

The “Olive” Air Jordan 9 was released a total of three times, with the fourth drop taking place in Holiday 2024. The first time we saw the shoe launch was in 1993. Around the time, Michael Jordan had retired from the NBA and never wore them on the court. Michael Jordan would wear a cleated version when he played for the Barons. Fast forward to 2002, when the pair was re-released for the first time. The reception wasn’t that great and would actually sit on shelves, like most other Air Jordans during the early 2000s. The last time we saw the pair debut was in 2012. The “Olive” iteration was released alongside multiple colorways of the Air Jordan 9. This time around, it did better at retailers due to the nostalgia. 

Jordan Brand would also release two pairs of shoes using the Olive color scheme with the Jordan 9 DNA. The first pair was the Jordan Fusion 9 Premier, a hybrid between the Air Jordan 9 and Air Force 1 released in 2009. We also had the opportunity to purchase the Air Jordan 9 Boot NRG “Olive” in 2017. Jordan Brand would add a beefier build, metal eyelets, and a rugged rubber outsole. They also sealed off the perforations to make sure your feet stay dry.

This Air Jordan 9 comes dressed in a Black, True Red, and Light Olive color combination. The overall look resembles a boot but was intended for the basketball courts. It also helps that the colors used and placement enhances the look. Utilizing Black leather on the upper with perforations. Next, Olive suede adorns the mudguard that extends onto the ankle and heels. Varsity Red appears on the tongue branding, the globe on the heels, and the Jumpman on the midsole and outsole. Completing the look is Black on the liner, midsole, and rubber outsole.
