The Air Jordan 4 “Military Blue” was one of four original Air Jordan 4 colorways that were originally launched in 1989. For the first time, the sneakers will return with Nike Air branding in 2024.
Over the years, we have seen the shoes make a return to retailers. However, they have lacked the Nike Air branding that many of us want to see. Celebrating the 35th Anniversary of the silhouette, Jordan Brand will finally bring back the pair in 2024.
This marks the second OG Air Jordan 4 returning in 2024. The first pair we broke the news on is the “Bred Reimagined” Air Jordan 4, which will come with leather uppers.
As mentioned, the “Military Blue” Air Jordan 4 was originally released in 1989, and the colorway has been launched 3 times, not including the Golf iteration. We received our first retro in 2006, and the last time we saw them land at retailers was in 2012. 35 years after its initial debut and 12 years after the last drop, it will finally have another opportunity to purchase.
We can also confirm that the release will not be part of the ‘Reimagined’ series, so there won’t be any new twists or vintage detailing. This Air Jordan 4 comes dressed in a Off-White, Military Blue, and Neutral Grey color combination. Constructed with leather throughout, we have mostly Off-White on the upper with Grey around the toe, resembling the 1989 version. Highlighting the shoes is Military Blue accents on part of the midsole, tongue, panels, Jumpman on the tongues, insoles, and heel tabs. Speaking of the heels, the iconic Nike Air branding will return. Finishing the look is White, Military Blue, and Grey on the rubber outsole.

The color blocking will resemble the original release and match perfectly with the 2006 pair. Furthermore, the shoes will be the main release from Jordan Brand on May 11th, 2024, and will be a GR.
