Aimé Leon Dore has been a steady partner of New Balance since their debut collaboration took the sneaker world by storm in 2019. This week, we have an early look at their next release in the performance category, featuring the Fresh Foam BB v3.

The partnership between Aimé Leon Dore and New Balance began in 2019, when ALD debuted its first collaborative sneaker on the New Balance 997, immediately gaining attention for its tasteful colorways and premium materials. Over the next few years the duo expanded onto silhouettes like the 990v2, 990v5, 827 Abzorb, 550, 650R, 993, and 1906R, often reviving archival models with vintage-inspired palettes and co-branding. The collaboration boosted both brands’ cultural relevance and led to ALD founder Teddy Santis becoming Creative Director of New Balance’s Made in USA line.

In 2024, ALD released their first performance footwear, dropping two styles of the Hesi Low basketball shoe. This year, the Queens brand will return to the basketball court, this time cooking up pairs of the Fresh Foam BB v3, the current lynch pin in NB’s ball lineup. After this release was first leaked last week, we now have an early look at one colorway from the upcoming project. As usual, ALD is sticking to their preppy, collegiate aesthetic, applying red and blue accents to an otherwise all-black design.

ALD X NEW BALANCE FRESH FOAM BB V3 RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release from ALD and New Balance for the basketball court has not been announced yet, but is coming sometime in 2026. The Queens-based brand will apply their preppy, collegiate aesthetic to the Fresh Foam BB v3 model this time around, likely releasing exclusively through their channels with an wider drop from NB afterwards. No pricing is available yet, but they will likely go for more than the model’s $130 base edition styles.
