Aimé Leon Dore Brings Back Their Original Four New Balance 550s For Kids

Rightfully credited for starting the global hysteria around the New Balance 550 back in 2020, Aimé Leon Dore laid the groundwork for this late-1980s archive model with a set for four vintage-treated colorways of the model. With four team-based primary color accents against an aged white/cream package, the shoes succinctly referred to as the “ALD 550s” also expanded the brand’s reach as a whole, elevating the brand to new heights in 2023.

Those four colorways of red, hunter green, navy, and grey were among the most sought after shoes over the last few years. The 550 hype cooled off considerably after the brand pumped out an endless assortment of “GR” colorways, but the original four by ALD still holds esteem to this day.

Now, the brand has chosen to revive that quartet, but in sizes exclusively for little kids and toddlers; you can get pairs now on aimeleondore.com while supplies last ($95 for Little Kids, $85 for Infant/Toddlers).
