adidas Jellyfish “Crystal Sand,” Vans Old Skool Souvenir, And This Week’s Best Releases

It’s not often in these breakdowns where every single day has something to pay attention to, but there’s indeed something to watch from end to end this week.

In a quick follow-up to the “Triple White,” the adidas Jellyfish earns top dog status once again, this time ushering in a bit more personality with its beige/blue combo on the “Crystal Sand.” Speaking of sequels, the Vans Old Skool Souvenir is back in rotation for the final time this summer, dropping off the fourth colorway of this season with a “Navy” edition.

As veterans of this segment will readily recognize, our work doesn’t end with the top two. Further down the list, the celebrated Nike SB Air Force 1 finally lets loose its suede “Light Chocolate” look, two Air Jordan Retros collide with “Laser” colorways, the Nike Cryoshot program gets a first touch on the Tiempo ’94, and the Foamposite Pro revisits its mid-2010s “Camo” arrangement.

August 16th has another one of out adidas’ Megaride franchise, as Texas’ DIOS Megaride bridges Houston chrome and cowboy leather. Beaverton has floral GR in store, as the Nike Air Force 1 Red Floral threads the needle between moody and festive.

August 17th issues an appetizer for the “Back the Future” homage, as the Nike Vapor 12 “Mag” brings the “Mag” to the hard court.

August 18th keeps the 80’s vibes rolling, as the Nike Air Tech Challenge II “Mag” bridges the gap between Marty McFly and Andre Agassi. For the hoopers, the Nike Kobe 3 Low “Atomic Pink” arrives a bit belatedly, ushering in a flooded look for the spotlighted Mamba product. For the skaters, it’s the Nike SB Air Force 1 “Light Chocolate” in focus, a rich take on the converted lifestyle icon.

August 19th sees Kevin Durant’s “Candies Pack” unwrap licorice with the Nike KD 19 “Black,” another monochromatic layout in menacing hues.

August 20th is the jam-packed day on the slate, beginning with the Vans Old Skool “Souvenir” Navy, the final of four such palette swaps on 2025’s breakout hit. From there, the Nike Mind 001 is back in rotation with black, “Cucumber Calm,” and “Hemp” editions, the Air Max Goadome Low Polka Dots takes in both eccentric patterns and a new build for the boot, the Vomero 18 NFL series brings comfort-first wear for the upcoming season, and the Cade Cunningham GT Cut 4 adapts a game-worn PE from the GT Cut 3 on its sequel model.

Closing out outside of Beaverton, the New Balance 2040v5 issues MiU’s most premium take ever,  the New Balance 991v2 Walnut gets ready for the season ahead with all-khaki, the Up There ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 revives the Australian/Japanese partnership, and the adidas Song For The Mute EVO SL inducts the Australian outfit into the run club.

August 21st sees a classic come to the catalog once again: Wilson Smith’s Nike Air More Uptempo “Legacy” is back in its original white/black. The Aya Brown Air Max 95 drops following a break-neck rollout cycle, the first Swoosh collab for the Brooklyn artist. The Air Foamposite Pro “Camo” looks to the 2010s for a first-time retro, while the adidas Harden Vol. 10 Pure Ruby takes on timeless black/red.

August 22nd has something in the water once again; the Pharrell adidas Jellyfish “Crystal Sand” makes landfall in a clean beige/blue. The Jumpman revisits etched patterns in earthy palettes via the Air Jordan 1 Low OG “Laser” and the Air Jordan 3 “Laser.” To end the week, the Nike Cryoshot Tiempo 94 proves that “Boots Only Summer” will stretch far beyond the World Cup.
