adidas Anthony Edwards 3 “Doctor Doom” Design
Doctor Doom is the Marvel villain tied to Avengers: Doomsday. The shoe is the latest colorway of the adidas Anthony Edwards 3, the third signature model for Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, and is reported to be part of adidas’ wider Marvel Avengers: Doomsday collection.
The teaser shows the villain’s grimace on the tongue. Heavy chrome hits run down the midline, an emerald cage wraps the side, and a bronze accent finishes the heel.
The colors come from a single teaser image, so the full upper and outsole are not yet visible.
Is an Ant-Man AE3 Also Coming?
An “Ant-Man” adidas Anthony Edwards 3 is reported to be on the way, a nod to Edwards’ longtime nickname “Ant.” adidas has not shared details on that pair.
Frequently Asked Questions
Is the adidas AE3 “Doctor Doom” the same as the Nike “Doctor Doom”?
No. A Nike shoe with the same nickname is also returning to shelves, but the adidas pair is a separate Anthony Edwards model with its own design.
What are the Believe That awards?
They are Anthony Edwards’ annual awards ceremony, which covers a range of pop culture topics. The Sneaker of the Year category is where the AE3 “Doctor Doom” appeared.
Will the adidas AE3 “Doctor Doom” come in kids' sizes?
adidas has not announced a size run for this shoe, so GS, PS and TD availability is not known.
