A$AP Rocky and PUMA are reloaded. As the partnership approaches its two-year anniversary, Sneaker News got an early look at upcoming product during a New York press preview, showcasing new spins on existing models and an entirely new silhouette.
PUMA Mostro 3D Mule
First up is a new mule version of A$AP Rocky’s PUMA Mostro 3D. It’s just as quirky as its predecessor, now reworked with an open heel that makes it an easy slip-on for quick trips out of the house. An all-black colorway and an airbrushed blue/black option are both slated to arrive in May.
PUMA Suede
From that offbeat aesthetic comes something more familiar: a reworked PUMA Suede. This version features a narrower toe box and a tapered tongue, giving the classic silhouette a sharper, arguably more dressy profile. Black and navy colorways are on the way, both featuring slight distressing on the Formstrip, gold PUMA-stamped lace dubraes, and graffiti-style text reading “From Me To You – A$AP” on the interior.
PUMA Straycat
The third and final model, previewed at New York Fashion Week earlier this year, is the PUMA Straycat. It’s a gorpcore-leaning reimagination of the ubiquitous Speedcat silhouette, complete with rugged TPU enhancements and an all-new Vibram outsole. One pair arrives in all-black, while another features red mesh, multicolor laces, and some pre-distressed touches.
