The “Coachella fit” carries serious weight every year, not just for festival-goers and performers, but for the brands lining up to dress them. With Weekend 1 wrapped, Young Thug easily takes the crown on the footwear front, stepping out in an ultra-intricate, ultra-premium Sp5der x Vans Slip-On crafted by customizer extraordinaire Mattias Gollin.

Currently making waves in the sneaker world through his Sp5der x adidas projects, Thugger’s Coachella Vans feature distressed canvas and a spread of stones arranged in the web motif synonymous with his streetwear brand. He wore a black colorway on stage this past weekend, while Vans has also teased a white version expected to surface for Weekend 2. For the uninitiated, Mattias Gollin is an Italy-based creative known for his highly sought-after and highly limited Vans customs, which are built with thousands of hand-applied stones. His most recent work is the Vans Authentic “Easter Pink” from earlier this month.
