Y-3 Presents the KYASU Sneaker

Yohji Yamamoto and adidas have one of the longest running collaborative lines in fashion with Y-3. Working together on the project since 2002, it is responsible for some of the most cutting-edge sportswear to hit the market in recent decades. As the brand continues to reinvent itself, its Chapter 4 collection for Fall/Winter 2023 introduced two new silhouettes -- the GENDO and the KYASU. The former made its debut in October while the KYASU sneaker has just arrived in high-top and low-top forms.Unveiled during the collection's runway show at Paris Fashion Week in March, the Y-3 KYASU is the team's interpretation of casting the adidas Superstar in concrete. Its strong geometry reimagines the classic silhouette as familiar elements such as the rubber shell-toe make a return. The minimal construction combines this toe element with a suede upper, laces and an exaggerated midsole. Three colorways of white, red and black have been crafted for the low-top and high-top versions of the silhouette as tonal branding arrives at the tongue. At the time of writing, the Y-3 KYASU sneakers have not yet released via the adidas website. However, select retailers have various colorways for sale with the shoe's official web launch going down in the coming days around the $400 USD price point. Stay tuned for updates, including additional releases to come in the future. View this post on Instagram A post shared by Y-3 (@adidasy3)Click here to view full gallery at Hypebeast
