After an initial launch in all-cream around 2024 MLB All-Star weekend, Travis Scott’s secondary signature shoe and first under Nike is continuing its introduction in “Leche Blue.” Venturing close to the aquatic/earthy combination already seen on the “Light Chocolate,” the “Leche Blue” notably delivers some material switch-ups from that inaugural edition. Instead of diamond-knit mesh, the Jaxx switches into suede, while the collar executes ribbed corduroy as opposed to crinkled synthetics. Nonetheless, the blues and browns that define this pair are already hallmarks of the Travis Scott catalog, having made himself nearly synonymous with “Mocha” via the Jumpman Jack, Jordan 1 High, and Jordan 1 Low OG.
As this pair nears release, it’s a continuation of a year where La Flame has turned away from the AJ1 as his foremost offering, instead leaning into his signature sneaker register. Looking ahead on the schedule, the only Retro release on his docket is the Fragment Design collaboration; otherwise, the Field Jaxx and Jumpman Jack will be the way to get in on the Travis Scott universe if you haven’t already.
