Yet it’s their partnership with ASICS that remains the beating heart of their design efforts, last visited with a snowy makeover for the GEL-Kayano 12.1.

Thumbing ahead in the GK lineage, Up There has just announced the ASICS GEL-Kayano 20 as their latest project. While paying homage to their home country of Australia is always a foremost priority, their own passion for footwear is often given equal shine; the two collide by selecting the GEL-Kayano 20 as a foundation for this fifth ASICS collab. By their word, the 2013 silhouette has long been a favorite in the country, with the brighter color-ups often commanding real resale premiums.

Thus, Up There alludes to a running-ready OG look, building their effort in a two-tone green/white split, yet there’s nothing simplistic about the application. Multiple neutral-to-neon gradients appear on this pair, including on the midsole rubber and the anchoring behind the ASICS logo. For some material intrigue, the imprint reaches for a wavy diamond mesh pulled from the GEL-KINSEI 4, representing another favorite of Straya sneakerheads. Their trademark pine green stripe underfoot and custom insoles ensure that the storefront’s touch is properly credited.
