Jordan Brand doesn’t shy away from meeting big sporting events with special footwear, whether that’s basketball (duh), soccer, golf, or for our purposes, tennis. With Wimbledon qualifiers underway, the latest arrival is an Air Jordan 1 Low inspired by tennis balls.
Official images show an almost monotone “Avalanche Lime” upper made entirely from suede, matching the color and fuzzy texture of a tennis ball. The details are what really sell it, starting with “23-Love” text on the inner tongue as nod to the sport’s famously confusing scoring system. The heel sports a jeweled Wings logo cutout, while a comic-style graphic of a tennis ball getting smashed lands within a semi-translucent outsole.
