The Whitaker Group x adidas era has gotten off to an excellent start. James Whitner’s retail conglomerate has already checked off tons of exclusive “Do Not Duplicate” styles since February, most of which have been very well received. Lifestyle models like the Samba, Gazelle, and BW Army have been the standouts, but the running genre has been covered too, most recently by a trio of adidas EVO SL “Fourth of July” styles evoking fireworks. Following a Whitaker Group launch on the actual holiday, the pack is now getting a wider release via adidas channels.

The adidas EVO SL is the Three Stripes’ most popular daily trainer and one of the most popular in the entire running space at, coming in at just 223g (in a men’s size 9) for a super lightweight ride. The three Whitaker Group colorways are, in a word, impressive, each assuming its own multicolor neon combination evocative of fireworks.
