Maybe one day we’ll have the full-blown conversation of adidas’ most important partners, but especially when limiting to this decade, Grace Wales Bonner is damn near at the head of the table, deserving of much of the credit in spurring the Samba resurgence that you can still trace in many of the industry’s biggest trends.

The mosaic of the Three Stripes’ high-fashion partners has only grown in the time since Grace stepped in, with names like Willy Chavarria and CLOT helping bring luxury edge in addition to her efforts. Yet it’s hard to beat the originator, and the Predator Elite FT FG is the latest beneficiary.

Taking over a silhouette a world away from the typical lifestyle fare she frequents, the performance cleat nonetheless is a match for her top-cut aesthetics. A snakeskin sleeve takes on her love for the material before an exposed-stitch leather shroud bearing the WB stamp furthers its earthy overtones. Always a lover of contrast, Wales Bonner closes this design with silver interplay on the spiked platform below and the wavy Three Stripes marks on the side.
