The Tom Sachs x Nike GPS Gets a Black Leather Remix for Spring 2026

Tom Sachs and Nike appear to be gearing up for a big year in the NikeCraft line. After announcing their new apparel collection last week, the simple General Purpose Shoe (GPS) has surfaced in a crispy new black color scheme, coming soon.

The NikeCraft General Purpose Shoe (GPS) is Tom Sachs’s most widely available collaboration with Nike, launched in June 2022 after a decade of development. The GPS reflects Sachs’s philosophy of footwear as a tool for everyday life rather than hype, designed to be simple, durable, and versatile. It features a breathable knit upper, suede and TPU overlays, pull tabs, and a three-piece molded cupsole with EVA cushioning, balancing comfort, utility, and understated style. Marketed as “boring” by Sachs to emphasize function over fashion, the GPS has launched in a wide range of colors in recent years.

This season, the GPS is coming back following the announcement of a new ISRU season and NikeCraft apparel last week. The new colorway seen here also makes some changes to the shoe’s design, ditching the mesh and suede construction of past releases in favor of an all-leather build. This pair will be the first to come in black, mixing a perforated leather base layer to maintain breathability, while also replacing the suede overlay panels in matching black leather. The blue pull tabs from the OG color return, along with the same brown gum sole used in every release thus far.

TOM SACHS X NIKE GPS “BLACK” RELEASE INFORMATION

The next release of Tom Sachs’ General Purpose Shoe from Nike is coming sooner than we think, with this new style currently slated for Spring 2026. The new colorway is the first style to come in black, and features a change in material, swapping out mesh and suede for an all-leather build. Pairs will likely be available from both partners as well as select retailers for $125.
