adidas checked off a major milestone by unveiling the tournament’s official match ball, and the name itself tells part of the story. “Tri” means three, and “Onda” means wave in Spanish and Portuguese. Together, they form the Trionda, a nod to the unprecedented three-nation hosting of the World Cup by the United States, Mexico, and Canada.
This will be the first World Cup ever staged across three different countries, and that spirit of unity runs through every detail of the Trionda’s design. adidas set out to merge performance engineering with global storytelling — testing the ball extensively across North America’s diverse conditions and gathering feedback from its roster of elite strikers and play-testers. The result, according to the brand, is the most thoroughly tested ball in adidas history.
The Trionda is built from just four panels, each featuring three flaps that represent the host nations. Blue stars pay tribute to the United States, a green eagle honors Mexico, and a red maple leaf salutes Canada. On the Pro version, adidas added even finer detail: embossed micro-symbols dedicated to each country.
The Trionda World Cup Ball is available now at adidas.com in seven different versions — from a $15 mini ball to the $170 Pro model that will be used in official matches. We’ve also rounded up a selection of classic terrace sneakers to pair with this must-have collectible for football fanatics worldwide.
Forget the World Cup — the adidas Samba has cemented itself as a year-round wardrobe essential. And as the leaves start to turn, adidas is leaning into the season with a fresh lineup of autumn-ready colorways that slide seamlessly into your fall rotation. Standouts include a “Sand Strata” pair dressed with “Collegiate Green” stripes and a matching heel tab, plus elevated leather builds in “Maroon” and “Dark Brown,” both finished with crisp white stripes that deliver bold, statement-making contrast.
Something Spezial for your rotation, perhaps? The adidas Handball Spezial didn’t start out as a soccer shoe, but you wouldn’t know it based on how warmly it’s been embraced by terrace regulars. This season, adidas has a hairy suede “Golden Beige” option as well as a “Light Blue/Cloud White” look built on gum soles. And if you’re looking to make a louder statement, there’s also a fiery “Lucid Pink” edition available on adidas.com right now.
The adidas Gazelle Indoor is for anyone looking to inject serious flair into their rotation this season. Several high-energy colorways are available now, each building on the silhouette’s classic suede and leather formula. Standouts include “Rich Mauve/Bright Yellow,” “Acid Mint/Flash Orange,” and “Aurora Ivy/Shock Pink” – three vibrant options ready to supercharge your World Cup fits.
