The One Piece x Nike Air max Plus Pack Releases in September

One Piece is finally crossing over into the world of sneakers, through a collaboration with Nike. Featuring the Air Max Plus, the shoe lands in three colors throughout September 2026.

Anime and manga continues to grow in popularity at an unprecedented rate in the Western world. The past decade has shifted the way we look at animation and comics dramatically, largely due to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s excellent adaptations from comic books to live-action films. Netflix was one of the first to jump on the anime & manga hype train, giving us live-action versions of Avatar: The Last Airbender and One Piece. The latter is one of the longest running mangas in history, with over 1100 chapters published and available to new readers who might find it through the Netflix adaptation.

Now, One Piece is taking a big step in pop culture relevance by stepping into the world of sneakers. The series has had collaborations with Crocs and streetwear brands in the past, but the upcoming project pairs it with Nike, the biggest name in collectible footwear. The collection features the Air Max Plus in three styles, each inspired by one of the series’ Devil Fruit variants. These fruits grant powers to the user when ingested, with a limitation of one user at a time (if you haven’t realized by now, I know nothing about One Piece, sorry!). The three fruits represented here are the Gomu Gomu, Mera Mera, and Ope Ope. All three Air Maxes sport a swirling pattern across the upper, borrowed directly from the pattern seen on the Devil Fruits. Alongside the shoes Nike has produced a range of t-shirts bearing manga panels, a special co-branded logo, and more.

ONE PIECE X NIKE AIR MAX PLUS COLLECTION RELEASE INFORMATION

The upcoming collection from Nike and One Piece is scheduled for a rolling release throughout September, with some caveats and exclusivity. The process begins on September 4th through 6th, with a Japan-exclusive drop via a pop-up shop. One week later, on September 12th, retailers across Asia and Mexico City will have their release, followed by European and US drops on September 19th. Finally, on September 25th, the SNKRS app will host the global drop, with a mix of some ready-to-ship stock and a pre-order for delivery at a later date. All three pairs of the Air Max Plus will be available in that final release, each priced at $180.
