The Nike SB P-Rod 1 Drops in a “Dodgers” Colorway for 2026

Nike SB’s retro of the P-Rod 1 has been one of the most underrated releases of the year. The iconic model was revived for its 20th anniversary, and more colorways are slated to release in 2026, including a “Dodgers” pair leaked by Paul Rodriguez himself.

In the early 2000s, Nike was trying hard to get into the world of skateboarding. After several failed attempts, they reorganized their efforts into the SB team in 2002, a small, dedicated division made up of real skaters dedicated to providing the best possible product for their sport. Later, in 2004, they signed their first signature athlete, Paul Rodriguez. The young star joining a big corporation like Nike changed the tide, and the rest is history.

In 2005, Nike SB released the P-Rod 1, their first signature sneaker for a rider. The shoe delivered on both performance and style fronts, blending decades of Nike history with skate-minded design. Featuring Zoom Air cushioning and premium details like the PR monogram around the heels, the P-Rod was an instant classic, and spawned a long line of signature shoes for Rodriguez.

Twenty years later the OG P-Rod 1 has returned. Remastered for today’s modern market, the SB team has slowly rolled out their initial celebratory colorways for the model, and are lining up new releases for next year. Rodriguez shared some early looks at new colorways over the weekend, including a “British Tan” edition and now a “Dodgers” pair. This look features a predominantly grey upper, mixing dark Flint overlays with a medium grey base layer. Dodger blue appears on the Swooshes, inner lining, and tongue branding to complete the look.

The new style of Nike SB’s P-Rod 1 retro was leaked by Rodriguez himself, though we are not exactly close to a release. The “Dodgers” grey & blue colorway is currently expected to release in 2026, though a seasonal window is uncertain. Only the fourth colorway we’ve seen of this iconic retro, pairs will release from both Nike and SB skate shops, with an expected $135 price tag.
