The Nike Cortez ’72 Gets The Perfect Aged Touch

As one of Nike’s longest-running silhouettes in production, the Nike Cortez remains an integral part of the Beaverton brand’s release calendar thanks to its fearlessness to reside in its original tooling, which is now accentuated via a ripe-aged color blocking.

A clad tumbled leather composes the upper while ditching any appearance of suede. The latter is cured in jet-black hues as pitch-dark color matches ascertain the canvas tongue, laces and collar lining. Elsewhere, the crisp white profile swoosh and heel tab adds a decadent contrast to the monochrome mix while a duo of neutral-based tan tones injects a vintage aesthetic within the sole unit underfoot.

The Nike Cortez ’72 “Black/Coconut Milk” is expected to release in the coming months. While we await further release details, the pair can be seen in detailed imagery below.

In other news, we recently received a first look at the upcoming Corporate x Jordan Air Ship.
