Detroit has found an unlikely champion in the world of basketball shoes. Until the Nike Cade 1 finally comes about, it appears that Devin Booker will hold onto his status as the city’s foremost representative in hoops shoes, as his Nike Book 2 amasses an impressive roster of Motor City merchandise. Our newswire has been absolutely awash with updates merging his (original) hometown and his second sig shoe; the Chevy Book 2, the Book 2 “Iron Fist,” the Book 2 “Tigers,” and now, the Nike Book 2 “Detroit Lions.”

Perhaps more than putting on for the Michigan metropolis, what’s been particularly impressive about the Suns superstar’s recent spree has been the rare opportunity to bridge tentpole American franchises with the Nike Basketball roster.
