Before you know it, the boots will go into storage and the summer rotation will be in full effect once again. As always, the far-ahead schedule on which footwear brands operate is letting us get a sense of what will be on the shelves well before the forecast officially heralds spring. Working through its second year on shelves, the New Balance 2000 is set to be a major factor in NB’s seasonal offerings, now unveiling a can’t-miss “Pink Heat” colorway.

For essentially any other New Balance model, we could cite this is a bold stake out from the usual, but the New Balance 200 “Pink Heat” is truthfully a return to form for the silhouette. Inarguably, the Boston brand turns up the contrast for this pair, but all things considered, it’s a palette swap from some of the colorful colorways that precede it. To our eyes, this “Pink Heat” is to the “Blue Oyster” what the “Rose Sugar” was to the debut “Stillwater Blue.” A subtle red to pink gradient courses throughout the entire shoe, given some moody edge with black trim in the collar and sole unit.

The New Balance 2000 “Pink Heat” should be hitting New Balance channels and partnering retailers as part of the Spring/Summer slate. Expect a $170 retail price upon arrival.
