If it ain’t broke… Jordan Brand has shown plenty before their willingness to bridge iconic colorways well beyond the scope of the sneakers they came to fame on. The Air Jordan 6 has gone “Hare,” the Air Jordan 7 has done “Infrared,” the Air Jordan 9 has taken to “Pantone.” Yet that color swap motif isn’t only exclusive to the “Retro-meets-Retro” vein, something evident as the Jordan Spizike Low “Bred” comes to light.
Of course, it’s the OG Air Jordan 4 “Bred” that inspires this version of Spike’s silhouette — a relatively faithful adaptation of it, at that. Already, the hybrid model utilizes the Air Jordan 4 wings and netting, making for a close resemblance from the jump, but this is largely identical color blocking to what we’ve seen on the countless retros for the “Black Cement.” That original title comes into play with the speckled wings, a divergent touch but one that aligns with OG packaging in an indirect homage. Black elephant print mudguards echo the Air Jordan 3, and Fire Red branding rounds out the arrangement overall.
The Jordan Spizike Low “Bred” is due out for Holiday 2025, retailing for $165. Watch our Jordan Release Dates page for updates on this pair and all the brand has in store for Q4 and beyond.
